Jeanette L. Patterson, 84, formerly of 810 Bolivar Drive, Bradford, passed away Saturday (Oct. 13, 2012) at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport.

Born Aug. 13, 1928, in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Carl and Margaret Howard Gardner. On Aug. 13, 1948, in the East End Presbyterian Church, she married Jack E. Patterson, who died on July 13, 2003.
Mrs. Patterson was a 1947 graduate of Bradford High School. She had been employed as a clerk at JCPenney.
She was a member of the Bolivar Drive Baptist Church, where she was very active with the church and was a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are three sons, David Patterson of Warner-Robins, Ga., Dennis (Melanie) Patterson of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Steven (Lyde) Patterson of Olean, N.Y.; two sisters, Beverly Ayers of Bradford and Nadine McAndrew of Smethport; seven grandchildren, Janet Lynn Patterson, Kellee Patterson, Maggie Patterson, Katie Patterson, Nicholas Patterson, Jessie Montgomery and Jessica Montgomery; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Arlene Bartlett; two brothers, Keith Gardner and Larry Gardner; and a daughter-in-law, Frances Patterson.
Family will be receiving friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue, where funeral and committal services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Duke Brown, pastor of the Bolivar Drive Baptist Church, officiating.
