LUCKEY, Ohio - Jill A. Graffius, 51, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (Nov. 22, 2014) at her residence.

She was born on Sept. 16, 1963, in Bradford, Pa., to William Graffius Sr. and Catherine Truby. Jill graduated in 1981 from Rossford High School, 1985 from BGSU and then for many years she studied in Spain. She has a Doctorate degree and was a college professor at Miami University teaching Spanish. Her memberships included: AKO Sorority and the Church of the Nazarene, Bowling Green.
Jill is survived by her daughter, Cassidy Ann Graffius of Perrysburg; mother, Cathie Smith of Perrysburg; father, William R. (Pam) Graffius Sr. in New York; brother, Bill (Paula) Graffius Jr. of Perrysburg; special aunt, Esther "Tootsie" Painter of Bradford; aunt, Cathy (Stan) Slocum of Bradford; niece, Julie (Andrew) Jarrett of Perrysburg; nephew, Bill (Jenny) Graffius III of Rossford; and great-nephews, Bill Graffius IV and Zach Graffius.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Herman C. Smith.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 Main St., Luckey, with funeral services beginning at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey.
