Joseph L. Schreier, 65, of 17 Parkway Lane, Bradford, passed away Tuesday (March 5, 2013) at The Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born July 14, 1947, in Buffalo, he was a son of the late John H. and Betty Meyer Schreier.
Mr. Schreier was a 1965 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School in Buffalo, N.Y., and attended St. Bonaventure University. He was a self-employed landscaper and worked in the Bradford area for many years.
Surviving is a brother, John H. (Ellen) Schreier of Orchard Park, N.Y.; one sister, Anne (the late Roger) Scott of Alexandria, Va.; eight nieces and nephews, Mary (Alberto) Torres, Jane (John) Thompson, Anne (Christopher) Licata, John H. Schreier III, Peter (Kelly) Schreier, Mark Schreier, Marisa Scott and Kyle Scott; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Schreier.
Family will be receiving friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church with the Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor, as celebrant. Committal services and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lackawanna, N.Y., at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
