Judith A. Eddy, 71, of 73 Williams St., passed away, Monday (Dec. 24, 2012) at The Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 10, 1941, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Julia (Campogiani) Brown.
Ms. Eddy was a 1960 graduate of Bradford High School. She lived in Tokyo for several years and Virginia for a number of years before returning to Bradford in 1976.
She attended Grace Lutheran Church.
She had worked at Bradford Regional Medical Center for 27 years. She worked in the X-ray department and then as a scheduler in the operating room, from which she retired in 2006.
Mrs. Eddy was a foster mother for many years for numerous children.
Surviving are two children, a daughter, Cynthia A. Shoemaker of Milroy, and a son, Christopher L. (Elizabeth Sue) Eddy of Pittsburgh; two foster children, Eric Shultz of St. Marys and Natasha Skaggs of Philadelphia; one brother, David R. Brown of DuBois; two sisters, Karen Swackhamer and Barbara J. Witchen, both of Bradford; four grandchildren, Jamie Eddy, Gracie Eddy, Alexander Shoemaker and Ian Shoemaker; and several nieces and nephews.
At Mrs. Eddy's request, there will be no public visitation and funeral services will be private.
