JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. - Kathleen Marie Taylor, 60, of Jacksonville Beach, passed gently into the Lord's hands on Tuesday (July 19, 2011) at her home.
She was born on March 30, 1951, to James and Mary Pedine in Bradford, Pa.
She was a registered nurse at Beaches Hospital, Jacksonville Beach, and left her career to take care of her daughters. During that time, she was an active volunteer at Seabreeze Elementary School and with the Girl Scouts.
She can best be remembered as "The Picture Lady." She also taught second grade CCD at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach. She enjoyed summer trips to Bradford to spend time with family and friends. She returned to work for Apex Home Companion Care, where she enjoyed caring for others. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Donald R. Taylor. She was a wonderful mother to Jamie L. Taylor, Valerie A. (Walter) Wilkinson and Victoria E. (Dean) Taylor and a beloved grandmother to Matthew. She is also survived by two sisters, Sandra Brochetti and Joanne Himes, both of Bradford; and a large extended family.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
