Kathleen M. Stokes, 48, of 931 Wolf Run Road, Smethport, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 4, 2012) at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on Jan. 5, 1964, in Bradford, she was a daughter of Sandra J. Moore Remington of Bradford, her stepfather Olin Don Louk of Bradford, and the late David C. Remington.
On May 13, 1989, she married Kevin L. Stokes, who survives.
She was a 1981 graduate of Bradford High School and a 1983 graduate of Jamestown Business College with a degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Management.
Kathleen was employed as the office manager for 25 years at Bradford Fairway Sales & Leasing, and the last three years in accounts payable, retiring in 2012 due to health issues.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She loved walking her dog, Daria Marie, and spending time with family and friends. She had a special fondness for all younger family members. She belonged to the Sigma Alpha Sorority Eta Phi Chapter.
Along with her husband and mother, she is survived by four sisters, Cynthia A. Bigley of Bradford, Renee R. (Brian) Dolan of York, Kelly Jo Remington of Grand Island, N.Y., and Karen K. (Scott) Ordiway of Bradford; two sisters-in-law, Karen L. Stokes of Bradford and Kathy (Mark) Stonebraker of Bradford; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will be receiving friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main St., where a prayer service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church with the Rev. Stephen Collins, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
