WILLIAMSPORT - Letha Maxine Eschrich, 97, formerly of Custer City, passed peacefully on Monday (Dec. 7, 2015) at Roseview Court.
Born Nov. 15, 1918, as Letha Maxine Bennett in Bradford, she was daughter to Ray and Nettie Bennett. She was an only child.
She was first married to Donald Patch, who died in January of 1966. Donald and Letha had two daughters, Carol Jean and Donna Lee. On April 14, 1967, she married Glenn Charles Eschrich, known to all as Bill Eschrich.
In addition to being preceded in death by her first husband, the following have passed before her: husband, Glenn C. Eschrich; and daughter, Carol J. (Robert E.) Linn.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna (Laree) Lopez of Orange, Calif.; and seven grandchildren, Deborah (Albert) Hills, Michael (Dianna) Linn, Thomas (Dawn) Linn and Robert W. (Janel) Linn all of Pennsylvania, Susan (Jon) Thompson of Bermuda, and Jennifer Weerheim and Christopher Lopez, both of California; 15 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, Vicky Campbell, Trudy Gulnac, Vonnie Schimp, Stacy Sprester, Janet Barger, David Benninger and Sarah Irish.
A funeral service to honor the life of Letha will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
