RIXFORD - Lillian H. Blauser, 99, formerly of Rixford, passed away Wednesday (Aug. 31, 2016) in Sena Kean Manor.

Born June 25, 1917, in Lewis Run, she was a daughter of George and Mary Elizabeth DePrater Bomaster. On Oct. 3, 1940, in Bradford she married Ormel D. Blauser, who passed away on Sept. 1, 1999.
Lillian was a 1935 graduate of Bradford High School and later graduated from the Bradford Hospital Licensed Practical Nursing School in 1956. She has resided in Rixford since 1946 and has been employed for 20 years at the Bradford Hospital and later did private duty nursing in the area. She had enjoyed reading and swimming. Ormel had built her an indoor swimming pool that they used for years.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Bradford.
Surviving are one daughter Roseanne (Donald) Simon of Rixford, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law Regina Blauser of Boise, Idaho; one sister Mary Catherine Matre, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Harris R. Blauser on Feb. 23, 1972 and David L. Blauser on June 25, 2009; a brother, George Bomaster, two sisters Wilda Janish and Betty Newbill, and a great-grandson, Mikell Wright .
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Bradford with the Rev. Steve Collins, pastor ,as celebrant.
Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park in Lafayette.
