Lloyd F. Corbin, 92, of Limestone, N.Y., passed away Tuesday (Sept. 3, 2013) at The Pines in Olean, N.Y.

Born Oct. 31, 1920, in Red House, N.Y., he was a son of Ralph and Agnes Aldrich Corbin. On Dec. 8, 1943, in the First Free Methodist Church, he married Alice C. Perry Corbin, who survives.
Mr. Corbin attended Salamanca (N.Y.) schools and was part of the first class to graduate from the new Limestone High School in 1936. He had been employed at Butterkrust Bakery, then on July 15, 1942, he was drafted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 24, 1946, as a staff sergeant. After the service, he worked for 19 years at General Roofing and later for 17 years as the office manager for Goodman Brothers.
In addition to his wife of 69 years, he is survived by two sons, Rolland L. Corbin and Kenneth E. (Rona) Corbin, all of Limestone; two sisters-in-law, Betty Corbin Stidd of Orchard Park, N.Y., and Phyllis Corbin of Eden, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clayton P. Corbin and Manley Corbin.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main St., from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held with the Rev. Robert Brest, pastor of the First Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
