The Guest Book is expired.
Margaret was born on Sept. 21, 1917, to Willard and Margaret McCord Crone. On April 2, 1933, in Port Allegany, she married Richard Dennis, who passed away on July 16, 1987.
Margaret was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was admired by many. She was admired for her grace, dignity, joyful attitude, faith and strength during difficult times. Her many gifts included sewing, quilting and crocheting. She raised a large family and was adored by her children and grandchildren. It has been said that her faith was passed down through generations. Though many might say 96 years was a long time to live, for Margaret it wasn't enough. Many will continue to benefit from the blessings she provided. Her pleasant smile and kind spirit held true until the end and has been passed on to those she held dear.
Peg was a dedicated member of the Eldred United Methodist Church, where she was a past member of the choir, circle no. 3, and had been active in various other church activities.
Margaret is survived by her son, Donald (Joyce) Dennis of Shinglehouse; three daughters, Kathryn Schwab of Duke Center, Margie Gruber of Rocklin, Calif., and Dorothy (James) Brown of Virginia Beach, Va.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren due in the near future. She has left quite a legacy.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a son, Joel Dennis; daughters, Mary Louise Dennis and Marcia Dennis; a granddaughter, Anne Schwab Rogers; and a brother, Mark Crone.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Frame Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the Eldred United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Sheesley and the Rev. Donald Henderson, co-officiating. Burial will follow in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette
