Born March 7, 1922, in Westline, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Safin Sorokes.

She is survived by her stepdaughter, Joanne (James) Evans Hockney; stepgrandchildren, Shawn Hockney, Heather (Bruce) Hockney Allen and their children, Brooke and Justin Hockney and Hunter and Spencer Allen. Also surviving are a nephew, Gregory F. (Harriet) Sorokes and their son William and daughter Laura; as well as many other beloved descendants and their children.
