WARREN - Margaret H. McBride, 83, of Warren, died Tuesday (March 29, 2016) at Warren General Hospital.
Margaret was born June 10, 1932, in Bradford. She was the daughter of the late Margaret Deschler and Vernon Hadley.
After graduating from nursing school at Bradford Hospital, Margaret was a nurse at Warren General Hospital earlier in her career and later, for many years, worked at the Warren State Hospital, from where she retired after 30 years of service. Margaret was involved as a long-time volunteer with the Warren County Historical Society, and had served on the board of directors. She loved giving tours at the Historical Society and found joy exploring her family genealogy and spending time with her beloved neighbors and her family.
She is survived by three children, Keith Jones of Warren, Gretchen (Louis) Ebling of Wyoming, Ohio, and Sara (Michael) Antol of Wexford; three stepchildren, Jerry, Cathy, and Karen; four grandchildren, Karl and Maggie Ebling, and Grace and Michael Antol; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on Nov. 27, 2007, by her husband, Eugene McBride, whom she married Dec. 10, 1977; one brother, Donald Hadley; and stepson, Ronnie McBride.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there, with the Rev. Rick Rohlin, pastor, Praise! Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery, Bradford.
