MOUNT DORA, Fla. - Marilyn Elizabeth McEnteer, 68, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning (Sept. 15, 2016) at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1947. She was the daughter of William and Mary Spencer McEnteer, and a sister to Cheryl Brown and Patricia Maynard.
She was an extremely dedicated and hard worker often working multiple full-time jobs, but always found time to spend with family and friends. Her friends were many and dear. She was known for her infectious laughter. She had several accomplishments in her life. She obtained a bachelor's degree while working and supporting her family. She also participated in local government for her community.
She enjoyed reading, movies and relaxing on a beach, but more-so relished experiencing new places and things with her friends and family.
She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Ballenger and Christian Stevenson, and their families. She was their loudest cheerleader and strongest supporter in all they did.
She was a resident of several different states through her wonderful life. At every stop she made many friends that meant everything to her and whom she never forgot. All her friends, old and new, they all tell of the same beautiful, optimistic, independent woman that was so much fun and they loved to be around.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Marilyn touched are invited to the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 North Donnelly St., Mount Dora, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday for gathering together to reminisce and support each other as well as attending a service to celebrate her life.
