ELDRED - Marilyn Theresa Agnes Morrisroe, 69, formerly of Rixford, passed away Wednesday (June 6, 2012) at the Bradford Nursing Pavilion following a lengthy illness.

Born Oct. 6, 1942 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of William and Marguerite Grover Buntz. On Feb. 2, 1965, she married Michael E. Morrisroe, who passed away July 14, 2001.
Marilyn went to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Grade School, graduated from St. Maria Goretti High School in 1960 with honors and received an associate's degree from ICS in Paralegal.
She moved to Rixford in 1973 where she resided until moving to Eldred in 2007.
For many years she worked for the Western Union Telegraph Company in Philadelphia as a timekeeper. She also worked for Otto- Eldred Grade School as a cafeteria aide, and later at Evergreen Elm, the Guidance Center and Community Links in Bradford as a personal care assistant.
Mrs. Morrisroe was a Cub Scout leader in Rixford for many years; and she was a member of St. Raphael's Church in Eldred, the Little Nipperettes, the Red Hat Rebels of Eldred, the O-E Sports Boosters and the Eldred Senior Center.
She enjoyed crocheting, word searches and bingo.
Surviving are six sons, Michael (Maryvance) Morrisroe, Nick (Laura) Morrisroe, William Morrisroe, Dennis (Dawn) Morrisroe, Paul (Beth Esch) Morrisroe and Daniel Morrisroe; nine grandchildren, Jack, Tess, Keegan, Hunter, Patrick, Seth, Ashlyn, Abbey and Harrison; one sister, Cecelia Sargent of Felton, Del.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Thomas Buntz.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Frame Funeral Home in Eldred. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Raphael's Church with the Rev. Thomas E. Brown as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Raphael's Cemetery, Eldred.
The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
