SMETHPORT - Martha Irene Marsh, 69, of Smethport, died Saturday (Feb. 6, 2016).
She was born April 16, 1946, in Bradford, a daughter of Ralph and Phillis Record Holzworth Sr. On May 19, 1979, in Eldred, she married Keith D. Marsh Sr., who died Oct. 6, 1987.
Mrs. Marsh was a 1964 graduate of Bradford Area High School and was a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family.
She was a member of the Red Hats, Smethport Senior Center, Eldred Township Fire Department and Women of the Moose of Port Allegany. She also volunteered at Sena-Kean Manor in Smethport.
She is survived by one daughter, Melissa Irene (Ronald) Galentine of Newport; one son, Russell (Kelisa) Marsh of Lexington Park, Md.; four grandchildren, E.J. (Jessica) Niklas, Keith Myers, Michael (Shelby) Galentine and Nicholas (Bronwynn) Galentine; four great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Grace, Tessa and Nicholas Jr.; one brother, Ralph Holzworth Jr. of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James A. Marsh, in August of 2005.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport.
