Mary Ann Gatesman, 76, of 1125 East Main St., passed away Tuesday (Feb. 21, 2012) at the Bradford Manor.

Born April 11, 1935, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Tominez Kloss. On June 27, 1964, in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Lewis Run, she married Jerome "Jim" Gatesman, who survives.
Mrs. Gatesman was a 1954 graduate of St. Bernard High School. She worked at Bovaird and Seyfang, the Helen Hume Shop, Mayer Brauser's, and prior to her retirement, she worked at Zippo Manufacturing Co.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and a member of the 50+ Group. She enjoyed painting, crafting, sewing and decorating eggs.
In addition to her husband, Jim, of 47 years, she is survived by two children, a daughter, Karen (Timothy) Leonard of Sayre, and a son, Kevin (Susan) Gatesman of Fairfax, Va.; a sister, Joan (John) Recny of Bradford; and four grandchildren, Kyle Gatesman, Alyssa Gatesman, Joshua Leonard and Kaitlyn Leonard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Kloss Jr., Robert Kloss and Bernard Kloss.
Family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., East Main Street, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church with the Rev. Stephen Collins, pastor, as celebrant. Mausoleum entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
