KANE - Mary Lou Niklas, 82, of JoJo Road, passed away Tuesday (July 19, 2016) at The Lutheran Home at Kane.

Born July 3, 1934, in Springville, she was a daughter of the late William and Kathleen Sherwood Smith. On Oct. 28, 1957, in Kane, she married Gerald Niklas, who survives.
Mary Lou, a homemaker, loved working with photography. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Paul Niklas of Kane and Kenneth Niklas of El Cajon, Calif.; a daughter, Susan Myers of Wadsworth, Ohio; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Martin Berrigan of Kane; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by five sisters.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28 at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date in St. Callistus Cemetery.
