JOHNSONBURG - Mary H. Marroni, 87, of the Wexford House, Kingsport, Tenn., formerly of St. Marys, Johnsonburg and Ridgway, died Monday morning (Nov. 12, 2012) at the Wexford House, following a lengthy illness.

Born Nov. 1, 1925, in Ridgway, she was a daughter of Joseph P. and Eleanor Rosaria Tegano. On June 9, 1943, she married Earnest J. Marroni. He died Oct. 4, 1965.
Mrs. Marroni had resided in Kingsport for the past six months. She had lived most of her life in Johnsonburg. She attended Ridgway High School. She had been employed by the Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital for 24 years, retiring in 1967. She was also a nurse's aide at Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1991.
Her memberships included the Holy Rosary Church, Queen of the World Parish, Maria Jose Lodge and Johnsonburg Senior Center.
Surviving are a son, Earnest (Debby) Marroni of Marion, Ind.; a daughter, Debbie (Richard) Polinski of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Eric (Missie) Polinski, Michele (Shawn) Shipe, Richard (Amy) Marroni, Melissa (Neal) Brown and Joseph (Lisa) Marroni; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Carmen Tegano of DuBois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Dominic and Paul Tegano; and a sister, Catherine Greich.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at the Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor of Queen of the World Parish, St. Marys, as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
