SALAMANCA, N.Y. - Nina B. Droney, 79, of Erie Street, Salamanca, entered into rest on Sunday (March 16, 2014) at Olean General Hospital.

Born on Dec. 2, 1934, in Galeton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Alverta Beiling Gaffigan. She was married on Feb. 19, 1955, to Paul Droney, who predeceased her on Sept. 14, 1987.
Mrs. Droney was employed as a waitress at the Dudley Hotel and a cashier at the former Bells Supermarket.
Surviving are two sons, John (Patti) Droney of Bradford, Pa., and Thomas (Holly) Droney of Orchard Park; a daughter, Susan (Carl) Rimer of North East, Pa.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy (Skip) Lindburgh of Kennewick, Wash., and Martha White of Salamanca; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Beatrice Richardson; and a brother, Clayton Beiling.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jacob Cirigliano of the Sawyer Evangelical Church in Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.
The family suggests memorials to the donor's choice.
