Nora O. Kroh, 97, formerly of 43 Corwin Lane, passed away Sunday (Aug. 18, 2013) at Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center in Smethport.

Born July 1, 1916, in Big Run, she was the daughter of the late Lott and Annie Harmon Gaul. On Sept. 4, 1938, in Reynoldsville, she married Wayne E. Kroh, who died on March 31, 2002.
Mrs. Kroh attended Big Run Schools and attended Indiana State Teachers College. She was a member of the Sawyer Evangelical Church.
She had worked in the kitchens of Lee Driver and Rew schools, and later at Corning Glass Works in the Quality Control Department, retiring after 18 years.
Surviving is a daughter, Barbara Shreckengost of Long Island, N.Y.; two sons, Richard W. Kroh of Woodbridge, Va., and Gary R. Kroh of Bradford; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandcildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and six brothers.
Family will be receiving friends from 10 a.m. to noon Friday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main St., where funeral and committal services will follow immediately with the Rev. Brad Preston, pastor of the Sawyer Evangelical Church, officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, Hormtown.
