KANE - Norma L. Buffington, 86, of 45 Church St., Westline, died Sunday evening (May 10, 2015) at her residence.

Born in Kragon, Ky., in 1928, she was the daughter of Samuel and Odessa Sewell Mays. On Sept. 25, 1948, in Westline, she married William J. Buffington, who died in 1999.
A homemaker, Norma enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening. She also attended Westline Community Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Wehnes of Summerfield, Fla., and Pamela McCoy of Westline; two sons, Bruce Buffington of Vero Beach, Fla., and Mark Buffington of Bradford, plus three grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, besides her husband and parents, are sisters, Josephine Weiser and Ann Peterson; and brothers, Sam Mays Jr. and Bob Mays.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home Inc., and may attend a service there at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of the Mount Jewett-Hazel Hurst United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment will follow in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
