Oliver W. "Pat" Nicholas, 79, of 25 Euclid Ave., passed away Thursday (May 1, 2014) at the Bradford Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Born March 4, 1935, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of the late Oliver and Wilma Evens Nicholas.
Mr. Nicholas worked as a mechanic for Rink Brothers and occupied the same position for 14 years at Fairway Ford. He later worked at Allegany Bradford Corporation and retired after 30 years of service.
He was a member of the Eagles Club, an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed gardening and baking.
Surviving is his companion of 32 years, Elsie J. Rouff; a daughter, Tina G. Nicholas, and a son, Wesley A. Nicholas; a granddaughter, Kaileen Corbin; a half-sister Connie Krammer and a half-brother David Nicholas; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will be receiving friends from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with the Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
