Orin W. Swain Jr., 70, of 16 Edna Ave Bradford, passed away Thursday (Feb. 25, 2016) at his residence.

Born in Aug. 22, 1945, in Hornell, N.Y., he was a son of the late Orin W. and Harriet Chase Swain Sr.
He attended schools in Dansville, N.Y. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 13, 1967 and was honorably discharged July 8, 1974.
He worked in the Hornell, N.Y., area for several years and moved to Bradford in 1998. He worked in the produce department at Tops Markets for a few years.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and fishing.
He is survived by three daughters, Judy (David) McClelland and Hope (Jeremy) Lyberg, both of Bradford, and Holly (Guthrie) Swain of Hinsdale, N.Y.; a son, Orin W. Swain III of Dansville, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Blanche Houghtaling of Hornell, N.Y., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Joseph Swain in infancy; a nephew, Mark Evingham and a good friend, Michael Kio.
A memorial service will be held at a time and date to be announced.
