Patricia A. "Patty" Alexander, 82, of 518 Bolivar Drive, passed away Friday (July 26, 2013) at the Bradford Manor.

Born April 8, 1931, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Edwin J. and Loretta A. McCloskey Chase.
On May 29, 1969, in Bradford, she married Mahlon R. "Fat" Alexander, who died on Dec. 29, 2006.
She attended elementary school in Farmers Valley and graduated from St. Bernard High School in 1949. Certificates of Achievement were earned from the University of Pittsburgh, and she was registered by the Optometric Extension Program in Duncan, Okla.
Mrs. Alexander was an assistant to O. Sherman Carlson, M.D. for many years. She was also the office manager for Dr. Edgar R. Danny for 25 years.
She adored her family and her pets. An avid reader, she also loved oil and oil pastel painting and played many musical instruments. Other favorite things were gardening, cooking, fishing and her computer. She loved socializing, a good party and entertaining at home. Compassionate and caring, she quietly administered to the needs of many.
A present member of Bradford Hospital Auxiliary, she was also a volunteer for Bradford Regional Medical Center where she delivered mail to patients. She was a past board member of Zonta Club and past president of the National Secretaries Association.
She is survived by twins, daughter Pamela (Richard) Jankowski of Allegany, N.Y. and son Patrick (Julia) Cici of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Delores (Robert) Winner of Bradford; four grandchildren, Ashley (Stewart) Alessi and Allyson Jankowski, both of Allegany, Elissa (Doug) Evernahm of Indianapolis, Ind. and Jeffrey Cici of Conshohocken; and two great-grandsons, Benjamin Alessi and Nicholas Alessi.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Cici; a niece, Kathleen Ryan; and a nephew, Michael Steck.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
