ST. MARYS - Richard L. "Rick" Lindenmuth Sr., 62, of 1300 Million Dollar Highway, Kersey, died unexpectedly on Tuesday (Aug. 16, 2016) at his home.
He was born on June 17, 1954, in St. Marys, a son of the late C. Joyce Byrd Lindenmuth and John L. Lindenmuth Sr., who survives of St. Marys.
Rick was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1973. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office for more than 34 years. He enjoyed sports, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He also enjoyed basketball and doing yardwork.
In addition to his father, John L. Lindenmuth Sr., he is survived by two sons, Richard L. (Amy) Lindenmuth Jr. in Hawaii and Charles E. (Jeni) Lindenmuth in Kentucky; and by two grandchildren, Kloe and Lia. He is also survived by two brothers, John Lindenmuth Jr., of Bradford and Daniel (Susan) Lindenmuth of St. Marys; one sister, Margie Palmer of St. Marys; and by a niece and nephew, Amanda Lindenmuth and Joshua Lindenmuth.
He was preceded in death by his mother, C. Joyce Byrd Lindenmuth.
The family will receive friends Thursday at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Brad Brunner officiating.
Military honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
