ERIE - Richard D. Sicheri, 71, of Erie, passed away on Friday (Dec. 18, 2015).
He was born in Bradford on Feb. 28, 1944, a son of Val Sicheri and the late June Cordner Sicheri.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Sicheri.
Richard was formerly employed in the human resource department with Hammermill Paper Co. and Snap-Tite Industries. He was semi-retired but still worked part-time as a substitute teacher in area county schools and enjoyed following local high school athletics.
He was a member of St. Luke Roman Catholic Church. Richard took pride in staying fit by kayaking and working out. He also loved to ride his motorcycle.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his son, Matt Sicheri and his girlfriend Shannon Eggleston of Erie; one sister, Cheryl (Donald) Wiley of Valley Forge; and many close friends.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday morning from 9 a.m., until the prayer service at 10:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Interment will take place on Saturday morning at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bradford.
