Robert L. Calderwood Sr., 96, of 103 Hemlock St., passed away Thursday (Oct. 24, 2013) at Gate House Hospital in Williamsport.

Born April 20, 1917, in Brookville, he was a son of the late Wilson and Margaret H. Hopkins Calderwood.
On Oct. 29, 1938, in Bradford, he married Lena B. Shirey Calderwood, who died on Sept. 16, 2002.
Mr. Calderwood had worked as a welder at Dresser Industries for several years. He was a member of the Bradford Alliance Church where he served as treasurer, deacon, elder and usher.
Surviving is a son, Robert (Karen) Calderwood of Bradford; four grandchildren, James (Marsha) Calderwood, Scott (Courtney) Calderwood, Debra Calderwood and Kelly Gipson; three great-grandchildren Kiersten Calderwood, Keaten Calderwood and McKenzie Lilly; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two daughters, Leana Shirley Calderwood who died in 1944, and Mary Ann Fuller who died in 1975, one son William C. Calderwood, who died April 7, 2013, two brothers, William and Charles Calderwood, one sister Katherine Hughes, and one grandson Steven Calderwood who died in 1963.
Family will be receiving friends on Monday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., from 1 to 2 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held with the Rev. Kenneth Dunkerley, pastor of the Bradford Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
