Robert C. Green, 73, formerly of 228 Constitution Ave., Bradford, passed away Wednesday (Aug. 29, 2012) at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born July 27, 1939, in St. Marys, he was a son of the late Bernard and Eleanor Herzing Green. On May 4, 1963, he married Judith Marshall.

He was a 1957 Emporium High School graduate and earned a Bachelor's Degree in business administration and accounting from St. Bonaventure University in 1961.

He was employed as an IRS Agent for the U.S. Treasury for 38 years, retiring in 1995.

While at St. Bonaventure, he played baseball and earned a letter for three years and was drafted by the Detroit Tigers. He organized baseball for the Junior Legion, the Babe Ruth League and Independent Baseball Leagues. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church and served as an usher and was a member of the Catholic Men's Club. He was a member of the Bradford Sportsman's Club, instructor for the Pennsylvania Game Commission Hunter Safety Course for 35 years and volunteered at the BRMC Upbeat Program.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan M. (Steve) Burroughs of Tampa, Fla., and Dianne M. Green of Bradford; one grandson, Noah Robert Policastro of Bradford; one brother, Richard B. Green of Emporium; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in the St. Francis Church with the Rev. Stephen Collins, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the St. Marks Cemetery in Emporium with Rev. Charles Schmidt.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
