ELMIRA, N.Y. - Robert D. "Bob" Morey, 61, of Elmira, formerly of Roulette Pa., passed away Friday (Sept. 20, 2013) after a lengthy battle with cancer. A fellowship luncheon will be held at noon Saturday at the Roulette Firehall. Please join the family in Bob's honor and bring your stories to share.

Bob was born on Jan. 18, 1952, in Coudersport, Pa., the son of Owen and Leah (Kio) Morey. Bob is survived by his mother, Leah of Corning; wife, Lorena of Elmira; daughter, Valerie of Roulette; grandson, Eric Mack of Avondale, Ariz.; granddaughter, Kira Sutton of Port Allegany, Pa.; sisters, Nancy Warner of Addison, Beverly (Cesar) Majano of Nashville, Tenn., Barbara (Archie) Hackett of Summerville, S.C., Linda (Eric) Hill of Plymouth, Ohio, and Anita (David) Brown of Caton; and brother, Albert (Buffy) Morey of Corning; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Owen, and brother, Kenneth, both of Corning.
During his life, Bob founded and operated Morey's Lumber Company in Roulette for several years before moving to Elmira. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In lieu of flowers, Bob wishes each and every one of you to spend the day fishing with someone special.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Olthof Funeral Home, Elmira.
