Robert Schlopy Obituary

Robert L. "Slope" Schlopy, 46, of 907 W. Washington St., Bradford, passed away Sunday (May 20,2012) at Bradford Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born in Kane on July 17, 1965, he was a son of the late Ray "Rusty" Schlopy and Sandra Smead Schlopy, who survives.
He attended Bradford Area schools. He had been self-employed with his own vending machine business, worked construction for various contractors and, prior to his illness, worked at The Bradford Era for 15 years.
He loved riding his Harley Davidson, living in the moment, his dog "Ezzy" and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four sisters, Laura Johnson, Bonnie Austin, Roxann Schlopy and Diane Morrison, all of Bradford; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Wilbur and Laura Smead.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 E. Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 5 p.m. with the Rev. G. Edward Hillard officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery
The family requests donations to the McKean County SPCA, P.O. Box 113, Bradford, PA 16701.
