KANE - Robert J. Williamson, 49, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Kane, died Tuesday morning (Sept. 23, 2014) at Plantation General Hospital, Plantation, Fla.

Born Dec. 17, 1964, in Kane, he was the son of Robert J. and Joann J. Jackson Williamson.
An avid Pirates and Steelers fan, Rob played quarterback for Lock Haven University for a year, and was chosen to play quarterback in the Big 30 Charity Football Classic.
Surviving are two children, Justin Williamson and Kaitlin Williamson, both of Jupiter, Fla.; a sister, Judy Williamson-Spencer of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and three brothers, Jim Williamson and Tom Williamson, both of Kane, and Tim Williamson of Ludlow.
Services will be held later at the convenience of the family.
The family asks that any donations to offset funeral costs be sent to Thomas Williamson, 316 Dawson St., Kane, PA 16735.
