PORT ALLEGANY - Roberta L. "Polly" Hadden, 71, of Port Allegany, died Saturday (Oct. 18, 2014) in The Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford, following a short illness.

She was born Oct. 17, 1943, in Olean, N.Y., a daughter of Francis and Frances Sweeney Horton.
Polly was a waitress and bartender for several local restaurants and bars; most recently she worked for the VFW in Port Allegany. She loved her Buffalo Bills.
She is survived by one son, Michael (Theresa) Hadden of Erie; seven grandchildren, Allison Hadden of Harrisburg, Haley Hadden of Williamsport, Ethan Peterson and Shannon Gnacinski, both of Erie, Dale Meacham III of Bradford and Brittany Meacham of Roulette and Michelle Meacham of Port Allegany; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Horton of the town of Tonawanda, N.Y., and three nieces.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., 105 N. Main St., Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Randall Headley, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Port Allegany, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany. VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6391 will hold services at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VFW kitchen fund.
