KANE - Roger D. "D.J." Johnson, 53, of 8 Lincoln Ave., Ludlow, died Sunday evening (Feb. 21, 2016) at his residence after a brief illness.

Born July 12, 1962, in Kane, he was the son of Clarence S. and Margaret Joann Carlson Johnson.
"R.J." was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army. Later, he had worked at Spilka Lumber, Cochran Lumber and Kane Lawn and Garden.
Surviving are four sisters, Mary Carol Rich of Home, Pa., Jackie Johnson of Shippenville, and Barbara Hetrick and Julianne Horton, both of Kane; and three brothers, C. Stewart Johnson Jr. of Kane, and Neil Johnson and Rodney Johnson, both of Ludlow.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca D. Johnson; and a brother, Thomas "T.J." Johnson.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home Inc. in Kane, where a service will immediately follow with the Rev. Bill Waterman, pastor of the Tabor Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kane, officiating. Interment will follow in Gibbs Hill Cemetery, Ludlow.
