KANE - Ronald A. Fitch, 73, of 913 Welsh St., Kane, died Monday afternoon (June 29, 2015) at the Kane Community Hospital.

Born Aug. 19, 1941, in Olean, N.Y., he was the son of Harold and Maxine Wasson Fitch. On Sept. 14, 1974, in Kane, he married Phyllis A. Fitch, who survives.
For over 35 years, he was self-employed in the antiques and collectibles business.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two stepsons, Mark (Holly) Horton of Corry and James Horton of Kane; four daughters, Lori (David) Prince of Genesee, Kelly (Nathan) VanPatten of Allegany, N.Y., Lisa Smith of Warren and Crystal Fitch at home. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a son, Brian Horton.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. William LaVelle, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Kane, officiating. Interment will take place privately at St. Callistus Cemetery.
