Roxine E. "Chickie" Galbraith, 69, of 433 W. Washington St., passed away Thursday (Aug. 9, 2012) at UPMC Hamot in Erie with her loving and devoted husband at her side.
Born Oct. 12, 1942, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Florence Cicerello Lombardo. On Aug. 6, 1966, in Bradford, she married Robert A. Galbraith, who survives.
Mrs. Galbraith was a graduate of Bradford High School. She had been employed at Speers, the Glendorn Estate, Corning Glass and for 15 years as a certified nursing assistant at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of St. Bernard Church and a member of the VFW Frances Sherman Auxiliary. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her greatest love was spending time with her two grandsons.
Surviving in addition to her husband Robert of 46 years, are a son, Shawn (Julie) Galbraith of Bradford; a brother, Russell (Pam) Lombardo of Santa Barbara, Calif.; two grandsons, Mitchel Joseph Galbraith and Matthew Michael Galbraith; and four nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jill Knibloe.
Family will be receiving friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., East Main Street, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church with the Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
