ELEVEN MILE - Ruth Z. Dailey, 86, of Eleven Mile, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Sunday (March 31, 2013).

Born March 1, 1927, in Eleven Mile, she was a daughter of Glenn and Ruby Hyde Ellis. On Feb. 16, 1946, at the family homestead, she married Jim D. Dailey, who survives.
Ruth was a devoted mother and wife. She was a member of the Millport United Methodist Church, where she was the organist for many years.
She enjoyed flowers and gardening, but most especially loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Dailey, along with her husband, raised more than 30 foster children.
Surviving, besides her husband, are eight children, Jimmie G. (Sue) Dailey of Cochranton, Dawn L. (Don) Carter of Ohio, Donald E. Dailey of Olean, N.Y., Diane E. (Jim) Casini of Frewsburg, N.Y., Dann E. (Tammy) Dailey of Crosby, John P. (Millie) Dailey of Eleven Mile, Debbie L. Dailey of Portsmouth, Va., and Gary E. (Pam) Dailey of Coudersport; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two foster sons, Terry Haskin of Hebron and David (Rose) Haskin of Eleven Mile.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son; a great-grandson, Kyler Hogle; and two brothers, Robert Ellis and John Ellis.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in Chrystal Cemetery.
