Samuel C. Alexander, 83, of 665 Derrick Road, passed away Thursday (Oct. 10, 2013) at his daughter's residence in Rixford.
Born May 17, 1930, in Bradford, he was a son of the late A.O. and Elinor Meachem Alexander.
On Oct. 13, 1956, in Mayville, N.Y., he married Suzanne L. Mount Alexander, who survives.
Mr. Alexander was a 1950 graduate of Bradford High School. He served his country during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on July 29, 1953.
In addition to his wife Suzanne of 57 years, he is survived by three daughters, Diane (Mark) Burns of Rixford, Lori (Arthur) Goodman of Bradford, and Amy (Daniel) Williams of Rixford; one brother, John Alexander of Bradford; three sisters, Elinor Wasden in Arizona, Sally Burkett of Derrick City and Karen Calderwood of Bradford; grandchildren, Rachael (Ryan) Ours, Alexander Goodman, Samantha Williams, Sierra Williams and Brett Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Mahlon, James and Gerald "Meach" Alexander; and one sister, Molly McAndrews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
