Sarah J. Wheeler, 64, of 6 Tulip Drive, Smethport, passed away Sunday (March 25, 2012) at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born Dec. 1, 1947, in Sugar Creek, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Pearl Whitman Haun. On Aug. 19, 1966, in Torrance, Calif., she married Robert W. Wheeler, who survives.
Mrs. Wheeler attended Rocky Grove schools. She had been self-employed as a home health caregiver most of her life. She retired from the Bradford Nursing Pavilion after 16 years.
She was a volunteer for the Rew Volunteer Fire Department, helping with bingo. She loved working in her yard and her gardens.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert W. (Luann) Wheeler of Tioga; two sisters, Delores Burrows of Meadville and Alvina Homa of Cochranton; four brothers, Ralph Haun of Utica, Clyde Haun of Washington, Pa., David Haun of Pittsburgh and John Haun of Titusville; two grandchildren, Katlyn and Chance Wheeler; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jeanne Louise Wheeler; and one son, Elmer Ray Wheeler.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
