EMPORIUM - Sharon R. Narby, 75, of 301 S. Maple St., Emporium, died at his residence unexpectedly on Saturday evening (June 28, 2014).

She was born Oct. 22, 1938, in Emporium, a daughter of the late William and Margaret Eckert Ramarge. On June 14, 1958, in St. Mark Church, she married the late L. Maxwell "Max" Narby.
Mrs. Narby graduated from Cameron County High School in the Class of 1956. Years ago, Sharon worked for the Cameron County School District as an assistant librarian. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and was a devoted wife and mother.
Surviving are a daughter, LuAnn (Jeff) Reed of Emporium; a son, James (Laura) Narby of Emporium; two grandchildren, Danielle (Philip) Reed and Alexis Narby; three great-grandchildren, Kendall, Lathan and Gunner; a brother, Mahlon (Ann) Ramarge of Olean, N.Y.; and a sister, Frances Ramarge of Emporium.
She was preceded in death by his parents; and her husband, L. Maxwell "Max" Narby.
Visitation with video tribute will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Barnett Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Tuesday in St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth St., Emporium, with the Rev. Paul S. Siebert, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium.
