Shelia Ann Barnes, 54, of 70 Willow Road, Tequesta, Fla., formerly of Bradford, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 15, 2013) at Hospice of Palm Beach County in Jupiter, Fla., with family and friends by her side.

Born June 1, 1959, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. Barnes and Sara A. Matthews Barnes-Campbell.
Ms. Barnes was a 1977 graduate of Bradford Area High School. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in French language and then graduated from Monterey University in California with a master's degree in international studies. She had been employed with World Wide Assistance, a Business Travel Medical Association in Alexandria, Va., and for Wells Fargo in San Francisco as a vice president of small business products. She then moved to Florida and worked as an administrative assistance for Aflac.
Surviving are her beloved corgis, "Sweet Pea" and "Pickles," her two sisters, Sharon L. (Tom) Russell of Erie, and Jan M. (Ira) Knight of Smethport; one brother, R. James (Jane) Barnes of Bradford; two nieces, Jennifer M. Barnes and Megan A. Barnes; her stepfather, John (Nancy) Campbell of Custer City; and one stepsister, Kathy M. Campbell of Los Angeles, Calif.
Family will be receiving friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 East Main St., at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of St. Bernard Church, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
