JOHNSONBURG - Shirley L. Zuraski, 78, of 2058 Long Level Road, Johnsonburg, died early Saturday morning (April 23, 2016) at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys after a lengthy illness.

She was born Nov. 11, 1937, in West Decatur, a daughter of William C. and Elizabeth Watkavitch Leair. On May 7, 1966, in St. Joseph Church, Force, she married William "Bill" Zuraski; he survives.
Mrs. Zuraski resided in Johnsonburg since her marriage. She graduated from Jay Township High School in 1956. She had been employed by Stackpole Carbon Co. for 32 years and Contact Technologies for 15 years, retiring in 2003.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. She loved going to Walmart, doing crossword puzzles and word search books.
In addition to her husband at home, she is survived by two sons, Mark "Tony" Zuraski and Jody Zuraski, both of Johnsonburg; two daughters, Robin (Glen) Dubler of Johnsonburg and Holly Yeager of Smethport; four grandchildren, Jason and Emily Dubler, Brooke Morgan and Alan Yeager; a brother, Clarence "Bob" (Helena) Leair of Weedville; and two sisters, Betty Lou Leair of Weedville and Virginia "Ginny" Neilson of Johnsonburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
