JOHNSONBURG - Stephen D. Halquist, 64, of 3722 Wilcox Road, Wilcox, died early Wednesday morning (Oct. 12, 2016) at his residence.

He was born Sept. 9, 1952, in Kane, a son of Harry W. and Beatrice Peters Halquist.
On Aug. 20, 1977, in Queen of the World Church, St. Marys, he married Michelle "Shelly" Herbstritt, who survives.
Mr. Halquist resided in Wilcox all his life. He graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1970.
He was Lutheran by faith. He was a member of the Wilcox Sportsmen's Club and Wilcox American Legion.
He owned and operated Wilcox Die and Machine for the past 25 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Raessa (Steve) Redmond of Bells Acres, Lauren (Jonathan) Chanadet of Tarentum and Kayley Halquist and Johnny Marshall of North Fayette; two granddaughters, Lila and Violet Chanadet; one sister, Beverly Halquist of Wilcox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harry D. Halquist.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private.
