JOHNSONBURG - Victor J. Paladino, 85, of 3397 Long Level Road, Johnsonburg, died Sunday evening (Dec. 13, 2015) at Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, after a brief illness.

On April 7, 1956, in St. Leo Magnus Church, Ridgway, he married Joyce Zawacki, who survives.
Mr. Paladino was a Korean-era U.S. Air Force veteran, having serving as an Airman First Class with the 5th Motor Vehicle Squad out of Travis Air Force Base in California. He owned and operated the Ridgway Grill in Ridgway for 31 years, retiring in 1998. He had also worked for New York and Pennsylvania Co. of Johnsonburg for several years and Rust Engineers for several years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jeanne (Charles) "Charlie" Constable of Johnsonburg and Vickie (Wayne) Lindgren of Herndon, Va.; two grandchildren, Victor and Kelsie Constable; and one sister, Lucy Simon of Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, with the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg. Military honors will be accorded by the Johnsonburg Servicemen's Detail. Detail members are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
