Virginia L. Hopkins, 88, of 120 Russell Blvd., Bradford, passed away Wednesday (Dec. 12, 2012) at the Bradford Manor.
Born Aug. 8, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Floyd M. and Katherine Thomas Lewis. On Feb. 9, 1946, in Bradford, she married Robert G. Hopkins, who died Aug. 1, 1983.
She was a 1942 graduate of Bradford High School.
She was employed as an executive secretary at KOA Speer Electronics for 24 years. She was a volunteer with the BRMC Auxiliary and was a member and very active with the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Terry Hopkins of Minnesota, Dean Hopkins of Bradford, Roland Hopkins of N. Tonawanda, N.Y., and Scott Hopkins of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Bruce and Thomas Lewis.
There will be no public visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
