PORT ALLEGANY - William F. Blaser, 78, of Port Allegany, died unexpectedly Tuesday (March 8, 2016) due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

He was born Dec. 23, 1937, in Williamsport, a son of William F. Blaser Sr. and Delores M. Ammer Shoup. On Sept. 4, 1965, in Roulette, he married June E. Gordon, who died Sept. 14, 2014.
Mr. Blaser was a graduate of Baldwin High School and Alfred University with a degree in building construction.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Blaser was a self-employed carpenter.
He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. He was a talented craftsman and mechanic with an ability to fix or build almost anything.
He is survived by three daughters: Carrie (Roger) Wilcoxen of Camano Island, Wash., Kathi (John) Gillespie of Russell and Joanna Wentzel of Mount Joy; one son, Keith (Brenda) Blaser of Sheboygan, Wis.; five grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
Mr. Blaser was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a future date. Burial will be in Fishing Creek Cemetery.
