TITUSVILLE - William R. Himes, 75, of 7343 Youngsville Road, Tidioute, died Wednesday evening (April 11, 2012) at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Mr. Himes was born on March 25, 1937, in Bradford, a son of the late John and Ruby Snyder Himes. He was married to Donna MacQuarrie on Jan. 20, 1976, in White Cloud, Fla. She preceded him in death on Aug. 13, 2004.
Mr. Himes was a graduate of Bradford Area High School. He was retired from Guardian Glass in Corsicanna, Texas, where he had worked as an electrical engineer. He had also been employed at Airco Speer, Hull Electric and Trico Industries in Bradford, as well as Control Chief in Lewis Run.
Mr. Himes enjoyed hunting and watching wildlife in his backyard.
He is survived by two sons, Steven C. (Sherise Bray) Himes of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Daniel T. Himes of Bradford; a daughter, Susan Niemann of Ocala, Fla.; three granddaughters, Kate and Paige Himes of Bradford and Julia Himes of Olean, N.Y.; two sisters, Jean Johnson of Erie and Joyce Carloni and her husband Fran of Bradford; a sister-in-law, Audrey Himes of Etowah, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Himes.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be conducted with the Rev. William Hopkins, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene in Oil City, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
