John Charles Coldren, 46, of Bradford, went to meet his heavenly maker on Tuesday (April 29, 2014) surrounded by his loving family at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh, after a 15 year battle with liver problems.
He was born on Nov. 11, 1967, in Bradford, a son of H. Wayne and Lynne Carter Coldren.
Mr. Coldren was a 1984 graduate of Bradford Area High School and also a graduate of DuBois Technical School. He was an electrician before retiring due to his liver problems. He enjoyed life with his family and loved the Lord.
In addition to his parents of Custer City, he is also survived by a son, Aaron (Julie) Coldren of Edinboro; a daughter, Laurell Coldren of Bradford; two brothers, James (Pamela) Coldren of Lewis Run and Joseph Coldren of Custer City; a granddaughter, Madison Bigley of Bradford; a grandson, Mason Coldren of Edinboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and a special friend and caregiver, Hope Kline of Bradford.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Theodore and Evelyn Carter; and his paternal grandparents, Harry and Betty Coldren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Mascho Funeral Home Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Jeremy Childs, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
