GIRARD - Shirley A. Brunner, 78, of Fairview, passed away Saturday (Aug. 9, 2014) at St. Vincent Health Center.
She was born on May 31, 1936, daughter of the late Herschel M. and Edna Courtwright Clark.
She was a 1954 graduate of Bradford High School.
As well as being a homemaker, Shirley worked at the Bradford Area School District and Fairview School District as a kitchen helper. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Keystone #2.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William; stepbrother Richard Coyne and a stepsister Betty Bly.
She is survived by a son, Douglas C. Brunner and his wife Donna of Dillsburg; two daughters: Brenda K. Blauser and her husband Perry of Westline, and Judy Brunner of Girard; five grandchildren, Douglas C. Brunner Jr., Jacob and Ashley Blauser and Emily and Elizabeth Nicholson; and great-grandchildren: Tristen, Benjamin, Colby, Landen, Braylee, Hunter and Isabella.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St., East, on Tuesday at 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. Burial will be private in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West Eighth Street, Erie, PA 16505 or the Fairview Firemen's Relief Association, P.O. Box 69, Fairview, PA 16415.
