GALETON - Constance "Connie" L. Eckert passed away at her home in Galeton on Wednesday (Feb. 13, 2013) at the age of 78.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emeron and Dorothy Weber; and her brother, David.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jerome Eckert. They were married in St. Marys on Feb. 12, 1955.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jerome; sons, Joe and Brian Eckert; daughters, Debra and Karen Eckert; loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Connie was born in St. Marys in 1934 and graduated from St. Marys High School in 1953. She was very active in the Catholic Church and various charities including the Special Olympics and enjoyed sports and spending time with her family.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, 14 West St., Galeton; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bibiana's Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joseph Dougherty will be the celebrant. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Diocese Friendship Mission.
