ELDRED - Betty M. DuBois, 79, of Elm St., passed away Monday (March 11, 2013) at Bradford Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born June 6, 1933, in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of Arthur and Anna Holmes Lundgren. On Sept. 3, 1955, in the Trinity United Methodist Church in Port Allegany, she married the Rev. James M. DuBois, who passed away on Sept. 9, 2011. 
Betty was a graduate of Port Allegany High School and later graduated from the Bryant and Stratton Business College in Buffalo, N.Y. She had resided in Eldred since 1955.
Mrs. DuBois was employed as the executive secretary at the Pittsburgh-Corning Corp., in Port Allegany.
She was a member of the Duke Center United Methodist Church and their United Methodist Women in the Choir. She was also a member of the Eldred Red Hats and the Eldred Senior Center. She was a volunteer at the McKean County VNA and Hospice and the Bradford Hospital. Along with her husband, she was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. She partnered with her husband in ministry at Sinnemahoning, Bradford and DuBois.
Betty especially enjoyed Wii "bowling" at the Eldred Senior Center. She also enjoyed playing Rook and sequence games.
Surviving are one son, David (Nora) DuBois of Beaver, Pa; two daughters, Joanie (Michael) Bova of Pittsburgh and Nancy (Gary) Harris of Stow, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Megan and Phillip Bova; Anna and Jessie Bose; and Jacob, Alex and Grace DuBois; as well as one sister, Margaret (Fred) Turner of Apopka, Fla.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Duke Center United Methodist Church, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Gary Sheesley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Duke Center United Methodist Church; the Eldred Borough Fire Department; or the Chapel Ridge Activities Fund.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred.
